Olen neulonut alle kouluikäisestä asti. Useamman tekeleen olen vuosien varrella joutunut purkamaan ja aloittamaan uudestaan. Tästäpä on vaan taidot - onneksi- kasvaneet.

Pinwheel ruffle rose hat
Here is the pattern for this little girls rosehat. Please note that my written English is not that good and I am not responsible for possible mistakes. You can always ask me, if there is some missunderstandings in this pattern.
Yarn: Novita Luxus Cotton, 100% cotton 2x 50 grams colour 010. You need green and red yarn for leaves and rose.
Gauge: 22s x 28 krs = 10cm
Needles: 3 1/2mm - 4mm. I used 3,25mm needles
Size: 4-6 years
Note: Measurements are in cm:s
Increasing: K 2 st,*YO,K2* repeat *-*. Next round knit. Then K3, *YO, K3* repeat *-*. Next round knit. Continue untill you have done this 11 times. ( Just like the beginning of the pinwheel cardigan).
The hat is knitted in a circle from the top of the hat to the edge.
Cast on 8 sts on double pointed needles. K 1 round. Then K 1 round and at the same time inc 1 st in every st = 16 sts. Insert 8 marking threads in the piece with 2 sts in between. Continue in stocking sts at the same time inc on every other round, change to longer circular needle as the work proceeds.Knit untill you have incerased 11 times. ( You have nice pinwheel with eleven holes in each pin).
Then knit 2 rounds. After these switch to double moss stitch. Knit double moss stitch 6 cm:s. (I increased in both sides of every 11. st when I had knitted 3 cm:s moss stitch, but if you want smaller hat, don`t do these increases.)
Next knit 4 rounds. Then following round knit every third stitch from the front and back in the end of the round. Then knit 2 round. Next round K into front and back of every stitch. Then knit 4 rounds. Then- again- knit into front and back of every stitch. Knit 2 rounds and bind off. If you want to knit less ruffle, dont kit the last increasing row.

Sew leaves and rose to hat.
When I made this hat I noticed that this cotton yard was too "hard" for me to knit, I mean double moss stitc became too loose. I had to add to wrong side of the hat tin elastic band in between moss stitch knit and the ruffle. I reacommend to use cotton mix yarn with bambou or acrylic. I think it makes this hat more elastic itself.
